Aston Martin Vantage AM6 (2018+) and DB11 Exhaust Valve Delete Boxes (AST02A0)

The AM6xx Vantage (2018+) has exhaust valve actuators that cycle the butterfly valves (flappers) through their range of motion on startup. If they do not find the correct range of motion, the car goes into reduced power mode. The factory muffler’s butterfly valves are notorious for becoming seized over time. Since they’re built into the muffler, it requires complete muffler replacement. These delete boxes allow you to run any aftermarket or custom exhaust without valves, or you can tack the OEM muffler’s valves open or closed and avoid replacing the muffler when the valves seize up.

Our flapper delete boxes simulate the motion of the factory butterfly valves. The flapper actuators are removed from the muffler and instead bolted to the delete boxes. The boxes are tucked neatly away on brackets that attach to the rear subframe.

The basic steps are:

• Remove rear wheels

• Remove rear splash shields

• Unplug harness to rear bumper cover

• Remove rear bumper cover

• Remove actuators from muffler

• Attach actuators to delete boxes

• Secure delete boxes to subframe

Note: we do include mounting brackets to hold the delete boxes to the subframe; however, we cannot guarantee there will not be interference with your specific exhaust setup. If making a custom exhaust, it’s recommended to have the boxes pre-installed to ensure no clearance issues. In the case of interference, simply zip tie the boxes to the top of the subframe’s rear cross-member.
